I'd love to try it all, although as HS says Norway would need snow. North Africa or Crete would be top of my list, even if its only so I can get more use out of my Tropical gear.
As others say though Crete is the more do-able because of the mixture of kit that can be used. Although Greeks could be tricky- I take it the fabled Greek battledress is only postwar?
This thread is in real danger of becoming a bit stitch counter-y.
I don't think wanting the correct units represnted at a given battle is stitch countery- I don't care if its look-a-like kit if its of the right unit.
I think we have to accept the fact that just about any given scenario is likely to rule somebody out kit wise. There is always the look-a-like rules or kit to borrow for those that want to play but don't have the right kit.

ooooouu......
We've literally only looked at the idea.....don't get too excited yet!

Yup, 1940s Greek army uniform looks like ww1 service dress with long puttees and a steel helmet (oh and a natty cape and sometimes funny slippers with pompoms on the end - i shit you not...)
Many pics here...

Honestly check it out.. gotta love those shoes.
In fact the next time anyone says *anything* about any armies uniform having a bit that looks silly I'm going to direct them to greek kit.

"I think we are in rats' alley - Where the dead men lost their bones."
I think Cretan ressistance fighters would be a lot easier than greek regular army.

Would be an easy/fun impression to do plus some great beard growing potential there too
Γ’β¬ΕI wanted to come to the Volga at a specific location at a specific city. By chance it carries the name of Stalin himself. So donΓ’β¬β’t think I marched there for this reason Γ’β¬β it could carry another name Γ’β¬β but because there is a very important goal... this goal I wanted to take Γ’β¬β and you know Γ’β¬β we are very modest, we have it already."

It is on your perseverance, staunchness, fighting skill and readiness to discharge your duty to the country that the defeat of the German-fascist army and the liberation of the Soviet land from the Hitlerite invaders depend! We can and must clear the Soviet land of Hitlerite vermin."

first purchase would have to be a comedy beard...

Actually with my 1943 ORs service dress jacket and some long puttees (I have jap ones) I can almost do Greek Infantry (lookalike)...
